'…In Arabic 'Akbar' does not mean 'greatest' rather it means 'greater'. We have comparative and superlative adjectives and 'Akbar' is in the comparative form. So when we hear the adhaan, and the mu'adhin says; 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is greater than what you are doing). It does not matter if you are sleeping, eating, if you are in an exam or a meeting, if you are in the middle of a ceremony, as believing men and women we get up and answer that call…'

The Human Brain

That’s our self. That’s it.

Selfie game: Anatomical

The first time I held a human brain in Anatomy Lab I was completely speechless. I looked at my classmates expecting a similar reaction and they looked back at me confused like…”dude let’s start identifying the structures.” I had to take a step back and let it process…in my hands was someone’s entire life. From start to finish, every memory, every emotion, every bodily control…was right there in my hands.
SubhanAllah, that day I remembered the words of my mom when she told me….”in your profession you will be working with the human body every day. When you’re in Anatomy lab identifying and working with the cadavers really look and behold the greatness of Allah. That body, those organs, the muscles, the bones, the nerves…all of that is from Allah. Only Allah can create that masterpiece you see in front of you. That’s not just a pile of flesh and bones, that’s Allah’s work.”

SubhanAllah! I love those moments
